Many homeowners struggle with finding the right style and products for their space. They often browse through magazines, websites, or social media platforms for inspiration, but they don't know how to translate those ideas into reality. They also don't have the time or budget to hire a professional interior designer to help them.

That's why I created a concept for an app called HomeWise. HomeWise is a service that combines generative AI models with computer vision to help homeowners create a vision for their space and find the products that can make it a reality.

The HomeWise app is designed to be simple and intuitive. The homescreen features categories like living room, bathroom, dining room, bedroom, etc. When a user taps on a category, they can view a scrolling grid of images (similar to Pinterest) of AI generated rooms for that category. These images are not real photos, but realistic renderings created by a generative AI model that learns from thousands of images of real rooms.

The user can also use the camera feature to take a picture of their own space and see how it can be transformed by the AI model. The app will enhance the image by placing furniture and decor within the space, based on the user's preferences and style. The user can choose from four options and save their favorite to a private or public collection.

When the user taps on an AI generated image, whether from the grid or their own space, HomeWise uses computer vision technology to find real products from partner stores that resemble the AI generated products. The app will show the name, price, and link of each product, as well as similar alternatives. The user can then purchase the products directly from the partner store's website or app.

HomeWise has an unobtrusive advertising experience. Partner stores can sponsor products to be suggested first when they resemble the AI generated image. There are no pop-up ads and the advertising requires no user data collection since it's based on computer vision identification, instead of user behavior tracking.

HomeWise also makes money through a customer referral platform. When a customer chooses to purchase an item by visiting the partner store in our app, HomeWise earns a commission on the sale. This way, HomeWise creates value for both customers and partners by connecting them in a seamless and convenient way.

I enjoyed creating this concept for HomeWise because I believe it has the potential to revolutionize the way people decorate their homes. By using modern technologies like generative AI and computer vision, HomeWise can offer a personalized and immersive experience that empowers homeowners to create their dream space.
